Like so many other people, Spring is my favorite time of the year. I love the longer days, and the warm weather. Spring means it is time to plant my garden in anticipation of my summer and fall harvest….more on that in a later blog. Spring also means it’s the start of show season!
No, not that kind of show 🙂 although that does look like fun!! I’m talking about antique shows and craft fairs and flea markets! At Pink Chapeau, we participate in several local markets in upstate New York each year, and this Spring and Summer will be no exception.
Starting this weekend, we will be doing a Craft Fair at Glenmont Elementary School. This is the first time we have done this show, and we are excited about being there. We will have a large selection of handmade, one of a kind jewelry items. We have several items that are perfect for Mother’s Day, and some beautiful Spring and Summer accent pieces. This show is Saturday, April 21, from 10:00 to 4:00. I am not sure where we will be – just look for the pink cowboy hat and there I will be!
On May 5 and 6, and again August 3-5, we will be set up at the Washington County Fairgrounds. For this show, anything goes. We will have a large selection of handcrafted items, as well as antique and vintage jewelry, and newer costume jewelry. We have been buying all winter, so that when it’s show time, you will have new items to view and to purchase. We always look forward to this show because of our loyal customers, and the great people we have met throughout the years. We will be in our usual space-Building 32 (across from the 4-H food booth) and space #13.
Our biggest and busiest show of the season is in Katonah, NY. This is sponsored by our friends at Cord Shows. This show is always on Labor Day, and always brings out a big crowd of wonderful buyers. We have made many friends here over the years, too. This show is all antiques, and my customers here LOVE thier jewelry.
There are a couple of other shows we are contemplating….I will let you know when and where we will be selling as new shows come up. I’m so excited to see all of my customers again!!
